Why Give to Walden?

A Walden education gives children the gift of independence, confidence, and academic preparedness. At Walden, our curriculum is guided by the proven success of the Montessori Method, emphasizing hands-on, diverse experiential learning in multi-age classrooms.

When Dr. Maria Montessori first imagined how young children’s classrooms should look and feel, she called them “Children’s Houses” and intended them as spaces in which even the smallest students felt a sense of belonging and purpose. Our community is dedicated to the full enrichment of children, with each class boasting two dedicated teachers in an intimate setting. These elements combine to deliver an exceptional Montessori-based education.

Independent schools like The Walden School rely on charitable gifts to enhance each student’s educational experience and actively fundraise each year to build annual and other funds.

Supporting Walden's Annual Fund

In recent years, donations to the school have funded playground equipment, enabled our teachers to engage in groundbreaking educational and professional development, and provided enhancements to our STEAM and language programs. Gifts to the Annual Fund also support the School’s operational costs including student enrichment programs, faculty salaries and retention, facility maintenance, and financial aid.

Many families prioritize their children's and grandchildren's schools in their philanthropic efforts, understanding the profound impact of their contributions. They recognize that investing in children is one of the best investments in the future.

Walden raises the leaders of our next generation to be kind, respectful, and innovative individuals. What could matter more?

The Walden School is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our fiscal year is July 1 – June 30.
