This weekly program runs Monday and/or Friday mornings for 8 weeks from 9:30-11:00AM. It is appropriate for ages 1-2.5. The program costs $100.00 per child for each session in which you enroll. Families desiring to do two mornings each week are more than welcome to enroll for two.
Based on the Montessori philosophy of "following the child", Learning Together is a program in which young children are free to learn, explore and interact with others in a classroom especially designed for them, alongside adult partner, grandparents, guardians and other consistent caregivers.
Children and caregivers who participate in the Learning Together program will have the opportunity to experience the Montessori Method in action, enjoy developing a learning partnership with your child, watch your child gain self-confidence and independence, learn about creating a prepared learning environment for your child, introduce your child to the school setting with you by his or her side, and appreciate being part of a caring community of families and staff at Walden.
What people are saying about Learning Together
"This program is so perfect for not only my daughter to get into a classroom and be around kids, but also for her caregivers to learn more about what kids need at this crucial age. Even though it's usually my mom with her, the Monday Messages are an amazing tool for her and my grandmom to read so we can all be consistent." - a current Learning Together parent
