The Walden School News

Bear Creek Was an Amazing Trip for Middle School!

So much fun was had spending time outside of school in the wilderness, participating in quality team and self-esteem building activities. The students represented themselves well. It is always nice to be with the students, but to share this adventure with them was something that we, and hopefully they, will never forget.

A special thanks to the fun and fabulous parent chaperones. Your help was greatly appreciated.

Celebrating Read Across America the Walden Way

Our classes pair up with their "buddy class" for a special time of reading Dr. Seuss books together (with our younger children sometimes reading to the older!). They followed up their time by watching a Dr. Seuss movie. The result is unique to a preschool-grade 8 school: older students take pride in their care of younger friends while preschool classes follow the excellent example of their wise older pals :). Just check out those expressions! Priceless.
