Assistant Director of Advancement

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Help create school literature and other forms of communication. Create marketing, advertising, and promotional materials, both print and electronic, using Photoshop and Pages.
Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications.
Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, social media content
Document school happenings with photos and writing on social media
Assist the Director of Advancement in special events
Assist the Director of Advancement in fundraising efforts
Manage content on the school website 
Produce and interpret Google analytics 
Design digital newsletter by collecting school news and photographs, designing and managing distribution

QUALIFICATIONS
Highly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategies
Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills
Experience and proficiency in social media such as facebook, twitter, mail chimp and instagram
Experience with pages, Flikr, Lightroom and photoshop
Knowledge of renweb and donor connect preferred but not necessary
Marketing and advertising experience preferred 
Photography experience 
Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including staff, board members, volunteers, donors, program participants, and other supporters
Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives
